Community Update - Mar 2023
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We hope 2023 finds you feeling blessed and in good health.
We wanted to reach out and give you an update on what's going on with JC First. We are getting ready for our 3rd Annual Easter Luncheon. We had such a great response last year. We were able to serve over 150 residents and local staff at gas stations, the nursing home, assisted living, hotel, emergency personnel as well as others who were working on Easter Day. This year we want to serve 200 people and we know with God's guidance we can make this happen.
Obviously with rising costs and wanting to serve additional Jasper County residents we know we have a huge task at hand but trust the Lord to make this happen, all for His glory.
Last year we were blessed to have individuals from the community as well as some area churches help with baked goods and volunteering with prep work the day before as well as Easter morning. THIS is exactly what JC First envisioned, Jasper County folks who love Jesus coming together to share that with others in the community.
We would like to extend that offer to you and your church family. If anyone would like to be involved with preparations that day or leading up to it, please reach out and let us know.
We are also providing a copy of our Easter Luncheon signup form. Do you personally know someone who could benefit from a meal? A neighbor? A single parent? A widow or someone who has fallen on hard times? You could order the meal, pickup and deliver to someone in need, what a beautiful way to share the love of Christ! Otherwise any Jasper County residents are welcome to sign up for meals for pickup and those within city limits of Newton can receive delivery.
We thank you for your time, donations and most importantly any prayers offered up to make JC First what it is, an organization helping our community. You can reach us through any of our social media pages, by email, or calling 765-820-5247.
Blessings,
JC First Leadership Team
